Ary Fun - The Charleston Arborist

As the president and co-owner of The Charleston Arborist, Ary is certified to assess the health of customers’ trees, is a qualified risk assessor and licensed to provide arborist evaluations for land management needs. Involved in every aspect of the business, he oversees day-to-day operations, including proper pruning and maintenance, soil management, health and risk assessment and conducts safe removals of trees within urban areas.

Ary founded The Charleston Arborist Company to add his growing family to the industry and provide the Lowcountry with the benefits of experience, technology and a family team to better understand our urban forests.

In addition to helping individual residents and commercial property owners, The Charleston Arborist regularly works with government officials and urban foresters to assess, protect, maintain and preserve areas such as Hampton Park, Wagner Terrace, Charleston’s Waterfront Park, Selkirk Plantation, Wadmalaw Island and James Island, not to mention dozens of residential neighborhoods and properties.

For more than 30 years, Ary has been working in the tree industry as a foreman, climber, salesman, instructor, competitor, consultant and arborist.

A tree business owner since 2004, Ary became an ISA Certified Arborist in 2005 and has since continued his education attaining extensive licensing and arborist certifications. He applies his decades of learning on a daily basis to maintain and protect the health of trees and properties.

The diverse experience he has gained from climbing, working in challenging environments, instructing other industry professionals and running the day-to-day operations of his business has not only provided Ary with a deep understanding of the physics and biology of trees but the ability to provide the best solutions for his customers.
